What is C2E?

EPS is the first and only organisation in Wales licensed to audit and deliver the Committed 2 Equality Standard (C2E).

C2E is a nationally recognised and Sfedi endorsed Diversity Assured Accreditation programme which facilitates organisations to develop and improve their own approach to equality. Sfedi is a government recognised, not-for-profit standards setting body for both Business Enterprise and Business Support. The programme enables organisations to develop and demonstrate a clear understanding of the legal and business case for implementing equal, cohesive and inclusive practices and procedures. It also enhances relationships with suppliers, the community and customers; in particular those from the public sector. There is a general statutory duty on all public authorities to eliminate unlawful discrimination and promote equality of opportunity and good relations across all functions including procurement. Gaining the C2E kite mark will let potential public sector clients know that you have key policies, procedures and practices in place that promote equality within your organisation, comply with current legislation and promote good practice.

For some companies, not being able to demonstrate clearly that they are able to comply with public sector clients equality requirements may mean the difference between being successful at tender or not.

How do I achieve the C2E standard?

With support from one of our advisors you should be ready to be audited within 8 - 12 weeks of commencing the programme. The accreditation is renewable annually; this rigorous approach ensures that high standards are maintained and enhanced.
